Society and Technology is just like social Studies subject you might have studied in school level. In the first semester of BCA we need to study this course again. But this is a different from what you might have studied in school level. The contents in this book contains some very important topic of life such as Basic Concept of Sociology, Organizing Social Life – Marriage, Family Kinship and Group. However, the topic of today is ST Question Paper of the year 2019. Let’s talk what were asked.

As usual the questions were divided in three groups. Group A contained MCQ with of 10 marks, 1 for each. Group B contained 7 question out of which 6 had to be answered each containing 5 marks. Group C contained 3 questions out of which only two had to be answered each containing 10 marks each.

As you can see Group B contains the following Questions:

·         2. How does Formalistic school of thought differ from Synthetic school of thought?

·         3. Write an essay on ' relevance of sociology in computer application'.

·         4. Discuss the influence of modern technology in changing family relationship.

·         5. What do you understand by society? How does it differ from community? Discuss with examples.

·         6. What is marriage and what are the various types of marriage? Describe with examples.

·         7. What do you understand by social stratification? Discuss caste-based stratification in Nepalese society?

·         8. Write Short Notes on any two: a) Assimilation b) Focus Group Discussion method in social research c) Quantitative research

 

And Group C contains the following questions:

·         9. What do you understand by National Integration? What are the major dimensions of National Integration? Discuss.

·         10. 'A greater proportion of an individual's personality is a reflection of the type of socialization process he or she has gone through during primary socialization'. Explain.

·         11. Discuss the major data collection tools and techniques used in social research.

So how were the questions? Easy if you studied well and hard if you didn’t. So, we must study well to pass the exams. If your exams are coming soon, I suggest you to at least see the question papers of previous years.
