Welcome back to BCA Guides Nepal. Today we have brought you the question paper of Object Oriented Programming in Java 2020. OOP in Java is one of the most important subject of Third semester of BCA and most important in a life of a programmer. If you understand java you can adopt yourself in any other language. Till third semester of BCA students get to study only two core programming languages i.e C Programming in Second Semester and Java in Third semester.

If your JAVA exam is coming soon and you need old question papers of Java and other subjects of third semester then you are in right place. Now without wasting much time lets dive into our questions. As we know 7 questions are asked in group B out of which only 6 needs to be answered, the group B is as follow:

Group B

1) Define OOP. Write the characteristics of OOP Language.
2) Explain the operators available in Java programming.
3) Define loop. Write a java program to print first n prime numbers.
4) Differentiate between abstract class and interface with suitable example.
5) Define access modifier. Explain access modifiers in java with example.
6) Define exception. Explain exception handling mechanism in java with example.
7) Write short note on (Any Two):
a) final keyword b) Collection class c) JDBC

For Group C three questions are asked but we only have to answer two questions and from this two questions we can get 20 marks which is almost pass marks.

9. a) Write a program to create and use Java package.

b) Define thread. Explain the life cycle of thread

10. a)Write a program to sort names of five cities in ascending order.

b) What is polymorphism and explain how we can achieve polymorphism in JAVA with example?

11. Differentiate beteween java AWT and Java Swing. Explain the different types of layout managers in Jvaa GUI Programming.

b) Write a GUI program to find the square of a given number.
